Virtual Gingerbread Returns!

23rd Annual
Gingerbread House Competition
& VIRTUAL Exhibit

After last year’s success the Vermont Folklife Center’s Annual Gingerbread House Competition and Exhibit will again be held virtually! Open to anyone living in Vermont, bake and build an edible creation at home and submit photos online to participate in the contest.

Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories (see registration form below) and photos from each submission will be included in an online exhibit. Pre-registration is required. Sign up below and be ready to upload photos of your creation between Nov. 24 - Dec. 12.

We are waving the $5 registration fee (donations to support costs associated with the exhibit are gratefully accepted).

2021 Theme: “Favorite children’s books”

The theme of this year’s Vermont Folklife Center Gingerbread House Competition is “Favorite Children’s Books.”

Bake us on a voyage to Where the Wild Things Are or roll out the yellow brick road and pave it to the Emerald City with cinnamon and spice. Choose any children's story you like!

As always, following the theme is not required, but there is a special prize for Best in Theme.
