VFC Radio
Radio documentary production has been a vital aspect of the Vermont Folklife Center's public programs. Beginning with the earliest programs that explored the social context of the Helen Hartness Flanders Ballad Collection at Middlebury College and our Peabody Award winning audio biography of Daisy Turner, Journey's End, to our more recent programs on cultural continuity and change in the Mad River Valley, the experiences of former POWs from World War II and the Vermont State Legislature, radio production has been a primary means for us to share the voices of Vermonters with the wider world.
The following pages contain streaming and downloadable audio of radio documentaries produced by the Vermont Folklife Center, as well as additional materials drawn from the Vermont Folklife Center Archive that complement and enrich the programs.
