Louise Robinson Swainbank

Swainbank, Louise Robinson, of St. Johnsbury, Republican, was born at
Ware, Massachusetts on November 3, 1917 and became resident of present town in October, 1945. Occupation: retired teacher. She was educated in elementary schools in Ware, Mass.; Ware High School; Northfield Seminary; graduated, Smith college (A.B., 1939). She and John A. Swainbank have three sons and one daughter. Member of Advisory Council of Governor’s Commission on the Status of Women; State advisory Committee, U.S. Civil Rights Commission; Chairman of Board of Trustees, University of Vermont (term expires 2/79); St. Johnsbury Women’s Club; St. Johnsbury College Club; St. Johnsbury Child Advocacy Council; State advisory Committee on the Elderly; and republican County Committee. Member of the House from District 10-2 for 1971-72, 1973-74 and from Cal 1-2 for 1975-76, 1977-78 and 1979-80.
