Sallie Thompson Soule

Soule, Sallie Thompson, of Shelburne, Chittenden County, Democrat, was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 13, 1928 and became resident of present town in September, 1978. She is married to Gardner N. Soule and they have two sons and two daughters. Occupation:retired book seller, partner, Bygone Books. She was educated in elementary schools in Grosse Point, Michigan; Milton Academy, Milton, Massachusetts; Smith College,
Northampton, Massachusetts (B.A., 1950); University of Vermont (M.A., 1952. Member of: Governing Board, Vermont ETV; Advisory Board Lake Champlain Committee. Also a member of the Vermont State Judicial Nominating Board; Administrative Committee and Project Review Committee of the Vermont Health Policy Corporation; Governor’s Commission on Health Care Costs; Children’s Task Force, Vermont Department of SRS; board member, Friends of the Vermont State House. Member of the House, 1977-78, 1979-80. Member of the Senate, 1981-82, 1983-84.
