Vermont Folklife Center Multimedia

The recorded oral interview forms the heart of our work at the Vermont Folklife Center. While we transcribe the text of these interviews, typed words do little to convey the power and passion of the human voice. The offerings on the Multimedia pages of our website provide a means for us to share these voices with the world.

Vermont Folklife Center Children's Book Series :: Presents voices and images of the real storytellers whose tales form the basis of the Vermont Folklife Center Children's Book Series.

Vermont Folklife Center Podcasts :: Download Podcasts of lectures connected to exhibitions in the Vision & Voice Documentary Workspace.

Vermont Folklife Center Radio :: Provides access to streaming and downloadable audio of radio documentaries produced by the Vermont Folklife Center, as well as additional materials drawn from the Vermont Folklife Center Archive that complement and enrich the programs.

Visit'n Voices :: Gives life to a selection of the voices behind our annual print publication, Visit'n.

Womenspeak :: The voices and stories of twelve Vermont women drawn from the Vermont Folklife Center Archive. Developed for the Vermont Women's History Project of the Vermont Commission on Women, the Womenspeak multimedia interactive first premiered in the Vermont Folklife Center Womenspeak tent during the 2006 Vermont History Expo.
