Ira Glass, host of National Public Radio’s popular This American Life, will appear live at Burlington’s Flynn Theater, September 26, in a benefit performance for the Vermont Folklife Center. This magical night of storytelling by a true master is the centerpiece VFC’s year-long 25th anniversary celebration.

Throughout his 30-year career, from writing jokes for Baltimore radio personality Johnny Walker and reporting for NPR to producing and hosting This American Life from WBEZ in Boston, Glass has had an abiding interest in sharing people’s stories, which is of course is the basis for all of our own work at the VFC.

A limited number of Director’s Level tickets ($125), which offer priority seating and an exclusive pre-show reception with Glass, are now available from Sarah Stahl at the VFC. To purchase Director's Level tickets call us at 802-388-4964 Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00am - 5:00pm..

Regular Admission tickets will be available from the Flynn box office. Tickets will cost $38.00 or $48.00 and can be purchased by Flynn Members on Thursday, July 23 and the general public on Thursday, August 13.

Glass’ live appearances have been sold out around the US, so purchase tickets early.

Please contact VFC Executive Director Brent Bjorkman for information about other ways that you can help us celebrate this special anniversary. Personal contributions and corporate sponsorships will assure the success of our next 25 years capturing the compelling stories and distinctive traditions of Vermont.
